How coaches are signing up new parents on the FlipGive App

The hot new item on FlipGive isn’t a gift card, or a product – it’s a new way to buy those gift cards and products!

Since FlipGive appeared on the Apple app store and Google play store for, the FlipGive app has gotten thousands of downloads – and why not? It’s a great way to remember to shop through FlipGive to make sure your team gets rewarded.

The team meeting - the perfect time to pitch

The most successful FlipGive campaigns start off their year with a parent meeting, which introduces FlipGive to new parents, and reminds the regular FlipGive fans.

Our savvy coaches have been including the app in the introductions they’ve been doing at team meetings – showing off the fact they’ve installed the app themselves over the phone… Before the meeting is even over they’re getting parents signed up!

"Every year I've been asked about an app, so this is great news," a coach told FlipGive. "Parents downloaded the app in the middle of the presentation and were aslready asking questions and testing it out."

An easy download for an easy fundraiser

Another interesting trick has been at team events or spirit days: a handful of schools have set up a booth to show parents the app, complete with a student athlete to guide people through installing it and joining the team (after all, sometimes the kids are better at these things than we are…)

The app puts a shortcut on your phone, and allows you to easily shop – just like the mobile site. Once you install it yourself you can give others the app link. They’ll get a six-digit code to join the team, and then they’re good to go!
